Nursery

The “Stars & Moon” Nursery is an engaging, clean, newly remodeled space located in lower hall of the Watjen Center for easy access for parents & babies to use. We provide a professional caregiver (year round) that will care for your baby/toddler each week. The Nursery is located just below the sanctuary and just outside this space there is a parent sitting area, complete with a comfortable sofa, chairs and an informational bookcase with an assortment of “faith at home” flyers. Sit, chat and enjoy getting to know another parent while baby is getting aquainted with the new playful space.

Preschool – 8th Grade

We provide individual grade & multi-aged classroom settings for our church school program that runs September – June with two church school opportunities (9am or 10:30am). During the summertime, we offer one service at 9:30 am for preschool – 5th grade. (Older children go to worship or are classroom helpers.)

We use a variety of curricula & resources for faith formation that involves individual leaflets with take home material, DVD curriculum, as well as many creative lessons involving music, drama, art, food, movement and even animals!

Our colorful and creative classroom settings are UNIQUE for each grade level:

• Preschool Indoor Courtyard / Playground : to teach being in community with others, sharing and laughing together
• 2nd grade Communion classroom: Includes a low table with sitting pillows to reflect the seating style long ago. Class does sacred prayer time here.
• 3rd grade Bible Basics: Creative space to engage learning how to use the Bible with wooden bible blocks, crafts and even a parachute!
• 8th grade “fireplace classroom”: Has only comfortable chairs and a sofa for the intention to encourage an easy flowing teen discussion. This space has proven to engage this age group in amazing and relevant faith forming conversations. Included in this cozy space is a TV/DVD player and faux fireplace to use as well.
